Sonya Cavanough
My work experience has always revolved around caring for others. For over 16 years I worked as an aged and disability community worker, as well as in pastoral care. Over eight years ago, I developed a passion to help people with their emotional issues, so I studied to become a counsellor. I have completed a Master of Counselling and my aim as a counsellor, is to provide a safe space where people can find healing and strategies to help them move forward. In the past few years, I became a registered NDIS Provider, providing counselling services to NDIS Participants. I count it an enormous privilege to be able to support and help people through difficult times in their lives. My approach is person-centred, caring and professional. I use an eclectic style of counselling, respecting each person and tailoring sessions to suit each person’s goals and individual needs.
